QLD: Man's death in Beaudesert takes road toll to 217
BRISBANE, Aug 1 AAP - A man died on Sunday when his car collided with a tree in Beaudesert,
about 65km south of Brisbane.
The 43-year-old was travelling south along Brisbane St about 2.15am AEST when the accident
happened.
Initial investigations indicate speed was a contributing factor.
Queensland's road toll now stands at 217 in 2009.
Two men were killed in Weipa on Saturday after their four-wheel drive lost control
and rolled on a dirt road, bursting into flames.
