Vic: Emergency services urge drivers to take a break
Victoria's emergency services are urging drivers to take a break during long journeys
this Easter.
The Transport Accident Commission and the State Emergency Service have launched this
year's Driver Reviver program in Melbourne.
They say they're concerned by the results of a survey .. showing a quarter of drivers
are ignoring the road safety message.
The survey by insurer AAMI also shows 28 per cent of drivers say they've momentarily
fallen asleep behind the wheel.
Last Easter .. eight people were killed on Victorian roads and 106 were seriously injured
in road crashes.
