Qld: Police seek hit-and-run driver
BRISBANE, April 27 AAP - The man who drove a car which critically injured a woman on
the Gold Coast is being sought by police.
A 26-year-old woman walked into the path of a vehicle on Young Street at Southport
about 5.30pm (AEST) yesterday, police said.
She is now in a critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Gold Coast Hospital.
The driver initially stopped, but left before police were notified of the incident.
The car would have sustained damage to the windscreen in the accident, police said.
