Vic: Prisoner slashes wrist during lock-down
MELBOURNE, Feb 7 AAP - A Victorian prisoner mutilated himself in frustration at being
locked in his cell for 23 hours a day during industrial action by guards this week, Corrections
Victoria said today.
A Corrections Victoria spokesman said a 28-year-old prisoner at Lodden Prison, near
Castlemaine, who "couldn't take it", cut himself with a razor after work bans imposed
by prison guards restricted him to his cell.
